Hey Gang! Posted on July 21st 2006

his is in from Brian Aufiero from Massachusetts who is going cross country on his Club Racer:

“I’ve had my clubracer for about 6 yrs now and Im so happy with the performance. For those at IF it’s a 60c, extra sparkly fiesta purple- you might remember that one.

Im currently in Wisconsin, on a supported tour this summer called Bike-and-Build, which has so far raised $120,000 for affordable housing groups such as Habitat for Humanity. Im about 1400 miles into the Northern US route and we’re biking from NH to Vancouver, stopping at build sites to help along the way and talking to everyone we meet. The trip is June 17th to Aug 19th.

People can check out www.bikeandbuild.org and read our trip journal for the northern route and see photos (at 235 lbs, im the big guy in most of the pics)

Since the tour is suported, all I’ve added are fenders and fliped my stem up for comfort, and I use a camelbak HAWG for small gear when needed.

Thanks for building such a great bike for me!”
