The biggest development recently and perhaps the one that has generated the most debate is the unveiling of a full suspension bike at the Las Vegas Interbike show. After speaking with a few larger and smaller frame builders in a search for a system to be licensed and compatible with IFs production ability, they have opted for a design based on Dave Weagle’s DW-link design.

With a butted titanium front end adapted from the existing Ti Deluxe and a custom butted 6061-T6 rear triangle, target weight will be around 24lbs.

Also found on the IF stand, were Crown Jewel SE road bikes complete with Reynolds carbon rear seat stays, another development in keeping with a popular movement in road bike design.

IF also displayed frames finished in various paintwork options. From airbrushed graphics to two tone paint and fades to stunning finishes based on PPG’s Harlequin paint, one of the most expensive paints on the market. These premium paints change color depending on angle of viewing and tone of light and are now being used in the IF paint shop in conjunction with a unique application process.
