Independence – mounting Tubus Front Rack

Hoping someone will find this and share their experiences. I have a Independence with disc mounts. It has two rack mounting eyelets on either side of the quick release. However, my old Tubus Tara rack is having trouble fitting to the mounts. Has anyone made Tubus low rider style mounts work on these disc forks? I’d post a picture of my problem if I can find a way to do it.
