Oh yeah, smooth ride. Love this SS. Looks almost identical to my SS 26″. Ride it like you stole it.
Updated with new photos – Nol writes:
I took the opportunity to upload some pictures of the pink 29er FLW build in progress. I broke my arm in a crash riding in the Alps this late summer, been back on the bike the last month. Mostly suspended and gently so, but recovery is now to the point that I can consider riding rigid again.
Update with a whole new set of pictures. Nol writes:
I hope you can see I tried to do the beautiful frame justice. I’ve had it out for a proper maiden voyage, some 30 plus miles of the regular Sunday loop. It is a mix of twisty forest singletrack and loose sandy heather fields linked by transitions of hardpack farmers tracks. Fully rigid she requires finesse and a good eye for picking lines, but the accurate steering allows me to do just that. A very fast and involving ride, quick steering too. More so than my other rigid 29ers but without feeling nervous at speed at all. And even the comfort is good for a rigid bike. I was not rattled to bits and lasted the 3 hours we were out no problems. I even had something left to beat my fellow weekend warriors over the finish line. I really like it already and look forward to the miles ahead.
Goodness, that bike is suhh-weet! I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very cool.
