Advertise IF bikes and merchandise for sale or wanted here. This classifieds section is free for all private sales.
For Sale Adverts
If you want to advertise an IF on the site you need to provide the following information:
Vintage: e.g. 1997
Colour: e.g. Iron Ore Metallic
Frame dimensions: Seat tube length center to center, top tube length center to center, headtube size (1″ or 1 1/8th).
Frame condition: Highlight any scratches, dings and chips
Componentry: e.g. Seatpost, front mech, etc
Price: How much you want – state whether this includes postage and where you are prepared to ship it
Contact details: E-mail address, phone or fax number
Your location: e.g. British Columbia, Canada
:!: You will need to send in at least one photo of the frame or bike, but the more the better. Adverts will remain on the site until you take them down. If you sell your bike or if it goes to eBay, please remove it.
Wanted Adverts
Are you a non-member looking for an Indy Fab? No problem! Please e-mail items for inclusion to the admin team. Please provide useful information like frame size you’re looking for, brake type (canti or disc), etc. and a means for people to get in touch. Your wanted advert will remain on the site until you email the admin team and ask for it to be taken it down.
Trade Adverts
Trade ads are allowed but only after following some very strict guidelines and rules. If you are in the bike industry and would like to know how you can use this classifieds page to clear stock then get in touch (contact information is on the front page). Neither ifrider.com or Independent Fabrication accept any liability for dealings that arise as a result of this page.
Adding Photos
Basically the simplest way is if your bike is already registered here on the site, you just link to the page that has your bike so that people can see the photos you’ve already posted.
If you have photo’s elsewhere on another website such as Flickr or Picasa or on your own Blog, then you can link to them there too.
To create a link put the following line of code in your Forum Post:
http://www.mywebsite.com/images
or
Where mywebsite.com is the address of the page where the photos are stored, so it might be http://www.ifrider.com/green-deluxe for example.
