Cycling Stats Year in Review Posted on January 1st 2012
2011 has been a good year on the bike and am looking forward to 2012. According to Strava, I logged the most time I than I ever have. I didn’t start using Strava until the end of February 2011, but here are my year end stats (http://app.strava.com/athletes/11268):
YEAR-TO-DATE | |
---|---|
Distance | 6,286 mi |
Time | 485hr 54m |
Elev Gain | 604,443 ft |
Rides | 227 |
The above was split about 60:40 mileage wise between the road bike and the SS MTB.
I’d much rather be skiing this time of year, but with no snow at all in Tahoe so far (it’s gotta turn around at some time right?) every one around here has been logging serious base miles and volume. In December, I logged 808 miles with a mix of road and MTB and I’m completely whooped and capped the month off with nearly a 26 hour week (not having to work between Christmas and New Years certainly aided that). Normally, I don’t start getting serious about riding until February-ish, so hopefully this will give me some additional reserves in the bank when the race season starts. Or maybe I’ll completely burn out….
Please…send…snow…soon….please….
This is what a typical December should look like for me:
